Akram Ayyash
Adjunct professor of finance at FGCU's Lutgert College of Business. My teaching centres on practical decisions, market structure, and quantitative thinking for modern financial problems.
Background
I bring more than a decade of Wall Street and tech-startup experience to the classroom: seven years at BNP Paribas in trading and structuring, and three years at Citadel. Today I am head of treasury at Ava Labs, where I run treasury strategy across traditional and digital-asset markets.
I live in Naples, Florida, with my family.

How I teach
Intuition before formulas. I want students to be able to say why a price has to be what it is before they calculate it.
Models are decision frameworks, not decision makers. We build every model in Excel together, then argue about where it breaks.
Class runs on questions. Expect to be asked what you think, and expect follow-ups.
